What the viewer shows

Is this DXF viewer really free?

Yes. 100% free, no signup, no email required. Runs entirely in your browser via JavaScript — your file never leaves your device, so it works with confidential project files too.

What DXF versions are supported?

ASCII DXF from AutoCAD R12 through AutoCAD 2024 (DXF versions 12-32). Binary DXF (rare) not supported — convert to ASCII in your CAD software first. For DWG files: save as DXF in your CAD software first — Diaz Editor reads DXF, the open AutoCAD exchange format.

Why use this instead of opening in AutoCAD?

Three reasons: (1) speed — opens in 2 seconds vs 30+ for AutoCAD launch; (2) no install — works on a colleague's machine, a customer's tablet, anywhere with a browser; (3) privacy — your .dxf never uploads anywhere, the parsing happens locally.

Can I edit the file in this viewer?

Does it work with Dutch / Spanish / English CAD files?

Yes. DXF format is language-agnostic at the geometry level. Layer names in NL (kozijn, dakvlak, electra), ES (capa, plano), or EN (layer, plan) all parse correctly. The UI itself is also available in NL/EN/ES.
