Everything for your installation workflow

3D for client presentations. 2D for the installer. One tool for both.

3D Building Editor

Site → building → level → walls → components. Hierarchical selection and snap-to-grid.

2D CAD Module

Classic 2D floor-plan drafting for the workshop. DXF import and export, layers per discipline.

Component Library

Framing, furniture, kitchen, bathroom, fixtures — 122 3D objects, twelve of them energy: PV panels, home battery, inverters, heat pump, buffer tank, boiler, smart meter, DC combiner, MVHR. Plus 14 schematic symbols for the 2D drawing, six for energy.

PDF Reports

Cover page, floor plan with title block, bill of materials (BOM). Client-ready.

Local-only

No cloud, no account. Your projects never leave your PC — only anonymous update-checks + opt-out usage stats, never your designs.

Why I built this

No funding, no sales team — a solo developer who needed a tool that didn't exist, and built it.

Juan Diaz Founder · solo, no funding

18 months ago I was combining solar, battery, heat pump and electrical for one customer — in Excel, because no single tool did all four. So I forked Pascal Editor (MIT, 14 years stable) and built what I needed: local, one payment, no cloud lock-in.

If I get hit by a bus tomorrow, buyers can fork it — Pascal Editor's MIT license still applies. No subscription to cancel, no server to shut down, no ransomware risk. A promise with legal backing, not marketing copy.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need internet to work?

No. Diaz Editor runs entirely locally on your PC. Internet is only needed for the initial download and optional update checks (disabled by default).

What happens to my projects?

Projects are saved as JSON/DXF files on your PC, with a local working copy kept by the app. No cloud, no Diaz Atlas server. Backups are your responsibility.

How many devices per license?

Founding: 1 seat. Licentie: 3 seats. Pro: 10 seats. Educational: 25. Per seat = 1 active installation. Switch between devices by deactivating in the old install and activating in the new.

Can I get a refund?

Yes — a 14-day money-back guarantee on every licence. Email juan@diazatlas.com with your order reference within 14 days of purchase; processed within 5 business days. At checkout you also waive the statutory withdrawal right in exchange for immediate access (Directive 2011/83/EU art. 16(m)); the 14-day guarantee is a promise we give on top of that.

Does it work on Mac or Linux?

Currently Windows and Linux (64-bit). macOS is on the roadmap.

Open source?

Diaz Editor builds on Pascal Editor (MIT). The extra modules (2D CAD, license system, branding) are proprietary under the Diaz Editor EULA. See NOTICE in the install folder.
