What your first 5 minutes look like

1. Download & run the installer  →  2. SmartScreen: “More info” → “Run anyway” (details below)  →  3. Enter your email in the app  →  4. Click the verification link in the email from Diaz Atlas <juan@diazatlas.com> — check your spam folder too  →  5. Start drawing — 14 days, all features. The email step happens once; everything runs fully offline after that.

While it installs

Twelve pages of PDF: 20+ shortcuts, layer conventions per trade, a permit checklist, and a decision tree for export formats. Print it and tape it next to your screen.

Windows: the build is unsigned — Windows shows a one-time SmartScreen notice (More info → Run anyway). Linux: make the AppImage executable (chmod +x) and run. macOS: there is no Mac build yet. It is waiting on the Apple Developer certificate and there is no date.

Windows SmartScreen — what to do

1. Click “More info”  →  2. Click “Run anyway”  →  3. Done. Only on the first install; updates run silently after that.

Why this is safe: the installer is built publicly in GitHub Actions CI from the open-source Pascal Editor (MIT-licensed, 14 years stable, 50k+ downloads). No telemetry, no cloud. The SmartScreen notice appears because the build is unsigned. A certificate on its own does not remove the notice either: since 2024 signed downloads also build reputation with Microsoft first. The route to zero warnings is the Microsoft Store, and that is what we are working towards.
