Frequently asked questions

When do I get paid?

The 1st of each month for sales from the previous month, after the 14-day refund window. Example: a sale on March 10 is paid out on May 1. Minimum payout €50 — otherwise rolls to next month.

What if the customer refunds?

Within the 14-day EU refund window, commission is reversed. If I've already paid you (rare, since we wait until after refund-window by default), it's deducted from your next payout. No surprises.

Can I use my own link for my own purchase?

No — self-purchases don't count (industry standard). But if your company wants a license: after 3 sales through your link you unlock a free Pro license (3 seats, €997 value). For Team/Enterprise/Agency discounts — email Juan, I'll arrange a partner deal.

Can I be a partner without a big audience?

Yes. Our best partners are often solo installers with 50 LinkedIn followers. They mention Diaz Editor in 1-on-1 client conversations — no audience needed. Conversion via warm conversations (20%) is much higher than via cold content (1-3%).

How do I know the tracking works?

You receive a monthly stats email with clicks, conversions, and commissions. You can also test your own link anytime: open in a private window, add ?ref=your-id, and check that your name appears in the thank-you page header. Until that's built: ask Juan for a test report.

Why 20% and not 30%?

Industry standard for lifetime products is 10-15%. We pay 20% — already above market. 30% would mean €3,000 per Agency deal plus €600 transaction costs — too thin for sustainable support. Founding 10 partners get 25% as early-trust bonus.

How do I quit if it doesn't work?

30-day notice, no reason needed. Already-earned commissions are still paid out. Pro license stays yours if unlocked. No clawbacks, no drama.

Does this work for Belgium / Germany / UK?

Yes. Diaz Editor sells in EUR / USD / GBP globally. Cookies and attribution work cross-border. Taxes: you declare commissions in your own country (we send a payout statement). Non-US partners: complete a W-8BEN one time (we email the form with your 1st payout) — avoids 30% US withholding. For questions — consult an accountant.

No resale — partner may not sell or give away the key to third parties. Resale = immediate revoke + loss of future commissions.
Use-it-or-lose-it — partner license auto-expires after 90 days of zero new sales via your tracking link. Already-earned commissions are still paid out.
Demo + own use OK — partner license is meant for demos and personal use. For production at an installer company you own: use the Pro license but consider upgrading to Team for 5+ colleagues (€2,500 → €1,250 with partner discount).
