Roadmap — what's live now, what's coming

Public. Honest. Dated. No vague "sometime this year" promises — only quarter targets and version numbers. Founding members vote on priorities.

Philosophy

We build what installers need today, not what sounds good in an investor pitch. Every feature has a real-user use-case. If something can't ship within 90 days: it's not on the roadmap.

v0.3 · Q2 2026

Founding Beta

  • 3D + 2D editor stable on Windows 64-bit
  • Component library: 30+ battery/inverter/panel models
  • String-sizing calculator + DC-AC ratio check
  • PDF permit pack export (cover, layout, BOM, SLD)
  • 9 disciplines: energy / electrical / hvac / plumbing / structural ...
  • EN / NL / ES UI complete
  • Lifetime license flow (Stripe + key + 3 device seats)
v0.4 · Q3 2026

Mac + bulk migration + AI speed

  • Mac (Apple Silicon native) — universal binary founding license covers Mac at no extra cost
  • Bulk import from Aurora Solar projects — DXF + BOM CSV in one step, 50+ projects at once
  • AI sketch-to-design (alpha) — upload roof photo, get base panel layout in 30 sec
  • EU grid-codes module (NL: Netbeheer-NL, ES: REE bt-50)
  • Component library expansion to 100+ (Sungrow, Sigenergy, Victron focus)
v0.5 · Q4 2026

Linux + SketchUp import + horizon shading

  • Linux (.deb + .AppImage) — Ubuntu/Debian/Fedora tested
  • Native SKP import (SketchUp 2024+) as reference layer
  • Advanced horizon shading + 3D obstruction shading via imported DEM tiles
  • Team license portal (5/10/25 seats, central device management)
  • Client proposal generator (branded PDF + e-signature via DocuSeal)
v0.6 · Q1 2027

Mobile + PVsyst + opt-in cloud sync

  • Mobile site-survey app (iOS + Android) — measure roofs with camera + AR, sync to desktop
  • Direct PVsyst project import (.PRJ files)
  • Optional cloud sync (opt-in, end-to-end encrypted, EU-only data residency)
  • Heat-pump module (CO₂ refrigerant, COP curves, hydraulic schematic)
v1.0 · Q2 2027

Public API + multi-tenant teams

  • Public REST API — projects, BOM, exports programmatically
  • CRM integrations (HubSpot, Pipedrive, GoHighLevel)
  • Multi-tenant team workspaces with role-based access (admin / engineer / installer / viewer)
  • EV-charger module + dynamic load-balancing schematics
  • Marketplace for 3rd-party component packs (open standard)

What we're not building (and why)

Deliberate choices

  • No mandatory cloud. Cloud sync comes in v0.6 but stays opt-in. Local-first stays the default forever.
  • No subscription model. Lifetime licenses stay the core product. Optional add-ons (cloud-sync, premium support) may be yearly.
  • No FERC / NEM 3.0 compliance reports. That's Aurora's domain. We actively send you to Aurora if you need this.
  • No LIDAR-grade shade modelling. Manual + horizon shading covers 90% of residential. For the other 10%: PVsyst.
  • No utility rate-tariff database. Maintaining 230 NL providers + ES regional rates is a full-time job. Not our focus.
  • No tracker-system simulation. For utility-scale tracker projects, PVsyst and Helioscope are the right tools.
