You are drawing an electrical installation and you start from a blank sheet again. This pack takes that start off your hands: one sheet with all 14 symbols side by side, a distribution-board schematic with six circuits, and an installation floor plan of a room five by four metres. Three DXF files, three editable twins, and the 14 symbols separately as SVG.
What is in the ZIP
- symbolenblad.dxf — all 14 symbols in a four-column grid, each one labelled. 189 entities, 86 of them the symbol geometry itself.
- groepenschema-start.dxf — meter, main switch, busbar and six circuits with their ratings. 65 entities.
- installatie-plattegrond-start.dxf — a room 5000 by 4000 mm with a door, a window, five sockets, a switch, a ceiling light point and two dimension chains. 41 entities.
- The same three drawings as .json. That is the Diaz Editor save format: open one and you keep drawing with every layer intact.
- The 14 symbols separately as SVG, 48 by 48 units, each with a <title> saying what it is.
- A readme in Dutch, English, German and Spanish, carrying the standards table below.
Which standard each symbol names
This pack is not an IEC 60617 library, and the symbols say so themselves. Each one names a standard in its own title, or names none, and it appears here exactly as it appears there — not inferred, not filled in.
| Symbol | Standard named |
|---|---|
| Grounded socket | NEN 1010 |
| Double socket | NEN 1010 |
| Waterproof socket IP44 | NEN 1010 |
| Single-pole switch | NEN 1010 |
| Two-way switch | NEN 1010 |
| Photovoltaic panel | IEC 60617 |
| Inverter DC/AC | IEC 60617 |
| Smart meter | IEC 60617 |
| Home battery | IEC 60617-02 |
| 1-pole circuit breaker B16 | DIN VDE |
| Ceiling light | IEC 60417 |
| LED spotlight | names no standard |
| EV charge point | names no standard |
| Heat pump outdoor unit | names no standard |
Five name NEN 1010, four name IEC 60617 — one of those as IEC 60617-02 — one names DIN VDE and one IEC 60417. Three name nothing. If you need a complete, certified standards library, you buy that from the standards body; this is a starting point for a drawing.
What it is not
- No reusable blocks. The DXF is R12 and has no BLOCKS section at all. Every symbol is drawn as lines, circles, polylines and text on the
electricallayer. That opens anywhere, but it is not a block you insert by name. - Not an installation design. The six circuits in the schematic are an example, not a calculation. Conductor sizing, discrimination and earth-leakage protection belong to your installation, not to this file.
- Not an inspection and not an approval. Whatever you draw with the pack stays your drawing and your responsibility.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to give an email address?
No. The ZIP is a static file on this site. No form, no account, no confirmation mail.
Which software opens these files?
The three .dxf sheets open in any CAD that reads DXF R12. The three .json twins open in Diaz Editor. The 14 .svg files open in any browser.
May I use this commercially?
Yes. Use it in your own drawings and quotes. Do not resell the pack as a product of your own.
The app that exported these sheets
The three DXF sheets come out of the DXF export in Diaz Editor. The same app draws the floor plan in 2D, the building in 3D, and hands you a PDF for the client.
